The WWE days might be behind Jon Heidenreich, but he can still apply a mean headlock. The former WWE Tag Team Champion was recently spotlighted by a co-worker at an Ohio-area Walmart, revealing a heartwarming look at his life after wrestling.
The man, named Wade Stratton, shared a photo on Facebook along with a touching description of his recent interaction with the 6’7″ giant. The post quickly gained traction among wrestling fans who remember Heidenreich’s imposing presence during the Ruthless Aggression Era.
A Heartwarming Interaction
According to Stratton, he and Heidenreich would always greet each other in passing while working. However, the former superstar finally introduced himself formally by sharing a bit about his past life. He mentioned that he used to be a pro wrestler, casually naming legends like The Undertaker, Booker T, William Regal, and The Rock as some of his former opponents.
Stratton initially thought his co-worker was joking, but soon realized Heidenreich was telling the truth. He described the former grappler as “one of the nicest [and] most humble people I’ve met in a while.”
To celebrate the moment, Stratton bought one of the former WWE star’s action figures to get signed. “You could tell it made him happy to be able to be in the spotlight again and things like that make me happy,” he wrote. “Plus now I can say I’ve been put in a headlock by a professional wrestler lmao.”

Heidenreich’s WWE Legacy
Jon Heidenreich is best known for his tenure in WWE from 2003 to 2006. He initially debuted with a gimmick involving “Little Johnny,” a doll meant to represent his inner child, though he is perhaps best remembered for his run as a heel managed by Paul Heyman.
This period was marked by a feud with The Undertaker, culminating in a Casket Match at the “Royal Rumble” in 2005. The end of his WWE career saw him join Road Warrior Animal in a revamped version of the Legion of Doom. The pair won the WWE Tag Team Championship one time before Heidenreich was released in 2006.
