Ava Brignola scored a game-high 20 points and Jordan Salisbury recorded a double-double as West Essex defeated Ramsey 47-33 in a Saturday morning matchup in Ramsey.
Brignola connected on four 2-pointers and four 3-pointers to pace the offense for West Essex (7-16). Salisbury dominated the glass with 13 rebounds while adding 11 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 from the free throw line.
West Essex established control early, taking a 14-11 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 24-18 by halftime. The visitors maintained their advantage in the third quarter before pulling away with a 16-7 run in the final period.
Kylie Bahn led Ramsey (12-10) with 18 points, including four 3-pointers, while adding six rebounds. Jules Pensari contributed seven points and five rebounds.
Riley Guevara added eight points, six rebounds, and three assists for West Essex, which out-rebounded Ramsey 30-22 and recorded 10 steals compared to Ramsey’s three. West Essex also showed efficiency at the free throw line, making all eight of its attempts.
