Anise Burwell posted 12 points, nine rebounds and two assists as 16th-seeded North Star Academy to a 34-30 win over 20th-seeded Newark East Side in the semifinals of the Essex County Invitational in Newark.

NSA (12-12) will face 18th-seeded Newark Collegiate in the championship game on Saturday,

Jazlyn Fabre-Hidalgo scored 13 points with three rebounds and three assists for the Red Raiders (7-11) while Ciani Beaton posted 10 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and three assists.
