Police shooting in Ocean County under investigation

Detectives are investigating a shooting Wednesday night involving a police officer in South Toms River, authorities said.

The shooting, which occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Dover Road, was not fatal, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
