Alix Earle is inviting guests into her dressing room.
The leading social media personality (and recent “Dancing With the Stars” frontrunner) is expanding her digital universe with “Get Real With Me,” a new monthly YouTube and video podcast series that elevates her viral “Get Ready With Me” TikTok videos into a full-fledged conversation show.
The series will launch on Thursday, Jan. 15 with an episode featuring her close friend, creator and comedian Jake Shane, with additional guests set to appear on a monthly basis. “Get Real With Me” will stream on YouTube and across video podcast platforms, and is presented by Hot Mess Media, with Abigail Lowenthal executive producing.
Filmed in a custom-built, dressing-room-style studio in West Hollywood, the series is designed to feel intentionally stripped back. The set features a one-way mirror, hidden cameras and vanity-embedded microphones. The set-up calls to mind other untraditional “at-home” studios as of late, like those featured in Hailey Bieber’s “Welcome to My Bathroom” interview series and Owen Thiele’s “In Your Dream” series, set in a bedroom.
In “Get Real With Me,” Earle and her guests get ready together — swapping beauty routines, pop culture takes and personal stories through light games and unscripted conversation that mirrors the intimacy of two friends chatting before a night out. Guests are also encouraged to organically spotlight their own beauty, beverage or lifestyle brands during the episode, weaving commerce into the format without overt ad breaks.
The new series, produced by Earle’s own Hot Mess Media, follows her exit from Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network last year, which had initially signed the “Hot Mess” podcast. After social media chatter of a feud between the two (which neither has commented on), Cooper’s Unwell Network ultimately renounced all rights to “Hot Mess” so that Earle could freely explore future opportunities.
Stream “Get Real With Me” on Youtube staring Jan. 15.
