Flanked by cherry blossoms, Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny made his Japan debut Saturday night, delivering a high-energy set for an ecstatic crowd at Tipstar Dome Chiba.
The superstar — whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio — brought out a live salsa band, sang in Japanese and delivered an emotional speech during the approximately 90-minute, invite-only concert, which also marked his first-ever performance in Asia. The show was part of a whirlwind stretch for Bad Bunny, who kicked off his Debi Tirar Mas Fotos all-stadium world tour in November 2025. Last month, he won album of the year at the Grammys, becoming the first Latin artist to do so, and headlined the Super Bowl LX halftime show.
The Japan event was hosted by music streaming company Spotify as part of its Billions Club series of special live shows that spotlight artists with songs that have surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform. Bad Bunny has 29 songs that have crossed the billion-streams threshold on Spotify.
