Seventh-seeded Bernards defeated 10th-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan 64-48 in the second round of the Somerset County Tournament in Bernardsville behind 22 points on three 3-pointers from Jasmine Kelleher.
Bernards got out to a 23-12 lead at the end of the opening quarter and extended its lead to 39-24 at halftime.
The Mountaineers maintained their lead in the second half, outscoring Bridgewater-Raritan 10-3 in the fourth quarter.
Bernards was aggressive near the basket, drawing 17 free throw attempts compared to nine for Bridgewater-Raritan.
Jane Freisen contributed 12 points and nine rebounds for the Mountaineers and Aletha Reynolds added a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Amanda Ciser led Bridgewater-Raritan (9-9) with 17 points, including four 3-pointers.
Bernards sits atop the Skyland Valley Division at 9-0 in divisional play, while Bridgewater-Raritan is tied for second place in the Skyland Raritan Division at 4-2 with Hunterdon Central.
Bernards (16-1) extended its winning streak to five games and will host North Plainfield on Tuesday at 6 p.m. Bridgewater-Raritan (9-9) will travel to West Windsor-Plainsboro North on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
