Miami quarterback Carson Beck had some fun at the expense of the SEC after leading the Hurricanes to a 31-27 win over Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Thursday.
Beck used the SEC’s slogan in the caption of an Instagram post celebrating the win on Saturday, writing “it just means more.”
The Rebels were the fifth and final SEC team eliminated from the 2025-26 CFP field, as Miami will face Indiana in the national championship game.
No SEC school has made an appearance in the national title game since Georgia defeated TCU to cap off the 2022 season. Beck served as the Bulldogs’ starting quarterback that year.
He opened his college career at Georgia before transferring to Miami ahead of the 2025 season.
Beck has excelled throughout his first year with the Hurricanes, completing 73.3 percent of his throws for 3,581 yards and 29 touchdowns compared to 11 interceptions in 15 games.
He went 23-of-37 for 268 yards and two scores while getting picked off once against the Rebels. Beck also scrambled for the go-ahead touchdown with 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Now, Miami will have an opportunity to potentially capture its sixth national title by defeating Indiana. Kickoff is on Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
