The concert will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus. The group is directed by RVCC faculty member Jeremy Sweet.

Friday, May 8 – The Lovin’ Spoonful to Perform in Newton. (NEWTON, NJ) — The Lovin’ Spoonful will perform at The Newton Theatre on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 8:00pm. They were America’s answer to the Beatles! The band, led by John Sebastian, Steve Boone, Joe Butler and Zal Yanovsky, exploded onto the charts sending their first 7 singles soaring onto Billboard’s top-10 charts virtually overnight.

Friday, May 8 – Barrymore Film Center presents Ann Talman: Elizabeth Taylor and the Shadow of Her Smile. (FORT LEE, NJ) — Ann Talman brings her award-winning show Ann Talman: Elizabeth Taylor and The Shadow of Her Smile to the Barrymore Film Center on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 7:30pm. Ann joined Actors’ Equity with co-star Elizabeth Taylor in 1981 when she landed the plum role in The Little Foxes playing Miss Taylor’s daughter on Broadway. The Little Foxes traveled the world for eighteen months including six months in London and their loving friendship lasted for the rest of Miss Taylor’s life.

(PRINCETON, NJ) — Serbian cellist Maja Maja Bogdanovic makes her anticipated Richardson Auditorium debut with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) at concerts the weekend of May 9-10, 2026. Designated as this year’s Edward T. Cone concert, the program features Ms. Bogdanović in performances of Camille Saint-Saëns’ melodic Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, Op. 33. Theatre Horizon presents “Ain’t Misbehavin'” – The Fats Waller Musical Show. (NORRISTOWN, PA) — Theatre Horizon the award-winning professional theater nestled in Norristown’s Arts Hill District, presents Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Fats Waller Musical Show, the Tony Award-winning production. George Street Playhouse’s 2026 Gala Benefit will honor Emily Mann with the Arthur Laurents Award for Distinguished Artistic Achievement. (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — George Street Playhouse’s 2026 Gala Benefit on Wednesday, May 6th will honor Emily Mann, playwright and former Artistic Director of McCarter Theatre Center, with the Arthur Laurents Award for Distinguished Artistic Achievement. This distinguished honor has only been awarded twice before in George Street Playhouse’s over 50-year history.

The Flip Side, a completely improvised theatrical comedy experience, is appearing at the Madison Community Arts Center on Saturday, May 9, 2026 — and it’s anything but predictable. The Flip Side is the house team of Vivid Stage, a professional theatre company based in Summit.

Friday, May 8 – Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to NJPAC for Mother’s Day Weekend. (NEWARK, NJ) — Beloved as one of the world’s most popular dance companies, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater completes its 20-city coast-to-coast United States tour at Newark’s New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) from Friday-Sunday, May 8-10, 2026. In what has become a Mother’s Day weekend tradition for tri-state residents, the AILEY Company returns for the 27th time as NJPAC’s Principal Resident Affiliate, performing annually at Prudential Hall since 1997 (except for 2020-21 pandemic shutdown).
