In one of the most shocking moves of the early portion of the NFL offseason, the Baltimore Ravens acquired Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby on Friday night in exchange for Baltimore’s No. 14 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and a 2027 first-round pick.
The deal cannot be made official until next week when the new league year begins on March 11. However, unless something unprecedented unfolds, the agreement is in place and Crosby will join a Ravens team that has reached the playoffs in three of the last four seasons, with franchise quarterback and two-time MVP Lamar Jackson leading the way.
Jackson himself became a viral figure earlier Friday, as fans are now convinced he knew about the deal before it became public due to a cryptic post on social media.
Jackson shared a GIF of actor Denzel Washington saying “boom” and included nothing else except a happy/blushing emoji. Hours later, Crosby was traded to Baltimore.

“When Lamar celebrates, you know something crazy just happened,” a fan said.
Someone else added, “You really think he knew?”
Another person wrote, “Oh he knew and all the 6M people that follow him.”
“DUH! I’m sure this was done like yesterday…what the [expletive] why wouldn’t’ he know before us,” a fan shared.
One more commented, ‘Crazy.”
This move — giving up two first-round picks in back-to-back years — signals their clear motive: to win a Super Bowl right now.
The Ravens have come close in recent years, and Crosby shares that same mindset. He has never won a playoff game during his NFL career, but now he’ll have that opportunity in Baltimore under new head coach Jesse Minter, who takes the reins following the team’s decision to part ways with John Harbaugh after the season.
