A fast-casual restaurant chain serving donuts, fried chicken and coffee is set to expand with a new location planned in the MarketFair shopping plaza on Route 1 in Mercer County.
Federal Donuts & Chicken, which has more than a dozen stores across Philadelphia and New Jersey, will operate from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at the location in West Windsor.
The chain specializes in hand-battered, twice-fried chicken and fresh donuts.
The menu features spiced cake donuts served with various glazes and toppings.
Chicken is available as tenders with dipping sauces or dry seasonings, in a fried chicken salad, or on sandwiches.
The chain also serves breakfast items and coffee served hot or iced.
Federal Donuts & Chicken was launched by James Beard Award-winning restaurateurs chef Michael Solomonov and Steve Cook.
MarketFair is a single-level enclosed shopping center with more than 35 stores, including Barnes & Noble, AMC, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma and Seasons 52.
