Tasks and Key responsibilities (some of the tasks could be subcontracted under the candidate”s supervision and responsibility):
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and industry developments to identify opportunities and inform strategic adjustments to marketing and community engagement approaches. Knowledge of target audience segmentation within the crypto space.
- Brand Development: Lead brand identity. Develop a comprehensive brand brief encompassing mission, positioning, and tone of voice. Define core brand values and establish a modern, accessible, yet reliable tone of voice.
- Audience Segmentation: Refine and define target audience segments for both B2C and B2B.
- Create Pre-Launch and Main Landing Page: Oversee the creation and optimization of a landing page focused on collecting waitlist sign-ups and communicating the value proposition.
- Community Foundation: Establish initial community channels (e.g., Telegram Chat, Discord). Develop and deploy content (3-5 posts) to engage early adopters.
- Community Engagement: Organize and facilitate community engagement activities, including cross-AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions or roundtables with founders and other Web3 projects. Publish introductory stories about the project on platforms.
- Content Strategy & Creation: Develop an initial content plan.
- Waitlist Activation & Engagement: Implement a soft waitlist campaign, including early adopter marketing campaigns and referral contests. Develop compelling incentives.
- Growth Loops: Implement growth mechanisms before launch.
- Partnership Identification: Identify potential infrastructure partners for cross-marketing opportunities and connect with relevant crypto communities for cross-promotion.
- Paid Ad Testing: Conduct small-budget A/B tests on Twitter/X, Facebook, or Telegram ads to refine messaging and direct users to the waitlist landing page.
- User Feedback Loop: Establish a system for collecting, analysing, and relaying community and user feedback to the product development team to inform feature enhancements and roadmap decisions.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing and community activities. Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Manage and optimize the marketing and community budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various campaigns and initiatives.
Key knowledge criteria for a marketing & community lead candidate:
- Brand Development: Knowledgeable in the development and realization of brand books for startup companies (specifically for crypto companies) , including branding strategy, visual identity and messaging.
- ICO listing: Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Understanding
– Strong grasp of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and their underlying principles.
– Familiarity with different types of tokens (utility, security, etc.) and ICO structures.
- Digital Marketing Expertise:
– Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
– Experience in content marketing and community engagement, particularly for crypto projects.
– Ability to plan, execute, and optimize marketing campaigns.
– Familiarity with various marketing tools and platforms relevant to the crypto industry.
- Strategic Marketing Expertise:
– Proven experience in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for tech or crypto companies.
– Ability to create a unique value proposition and positioning for crypto products/services.
– Ability to build and nurture communities around the crypto product, fostering user interaction and loyalty.
– Experience with community platforms like X, Discord, Telegram, or Reddit.
- Regulatory and Compliance Awareness:
– Understanding of the regulatory landscape affecting crypto marketing
– Knowledge of best practices for compliant marketing in the crypto space.
- Data Analysis and Performance Tracking:
– Strong analytical skills to assess marketing performance and ROI.
– Ability to set and measure KPIs to refine marketing strategies continuously.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration:
– Experience in leading and managing marketing teams, fostering collaboration across departments.
– Ability to work closely with product, sales and development teams to align marketing strategies.

Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in marketing, community management, or a related field, specifically within the Web3 and crypto industry.
- Proven track record of building and growing online communities.
- Strong understanding of crypto culture, trends, and user behaviour.
- Project Management Experience
- Experience with brand development, content strategy, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with growth hacking techniques and referral mechanics.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficiency with relevant social media platforms (X, Telegram, Discord, LinkedIn).
- Familiarity with PR outreach and media kits.
- Experience running paid social media campaigns.
- Existing network within the Web3/crypto community.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
