The South, Group 2 meet kicked off the final day of action for the NJSIAA State Sectionals from Rothman Orthopeadics Sports Complex in Toms River.
Haddonfield cruised to victory on both the boys and girls side to complete a sweep of the event.
Boys
Haddonfield cruised to victory with an eye-opening total of 113 points — and got it done in multiple ways.
It began on the 1,600 as Benjamin Andrus earned gold with a time of 4:28.45. Peter Simpson finished second in this event while also earning third in the 3,200.
In the 3,200, Haddonfield placed the top three runners as Ryan Gibson was victorious with a time of 9:38.48 followed by Andrus.
It continued on as Brandon Stoner won the 800 (2:00.50), while Aaron Keith finished as the runner-up. Haddonfield got another win on the track as Ryder Bozine won the 55 hurdles at 7.78 and the 4×400 won gold with a time of 3:30.80. In the field, it was Thomas Crosier who won the shot put at 44-0.5.
Willingboro finished second with 32 points and did it using sprints. Christopher Jones won the 400 at 51.08. Dayron Neal added a win for the team in the pole vault at 11-6.
Pemberton’s Jaden Goins was victorious in the 55 with a time of 6.57 while Evan Beam of Manchester Township and Shafiq Herrington of Cinnaminson reached 6-2 in the high jump to win.
Girls
The Haddonfield girls also cruised to victory with 98.5 points.
Dylan Hosty earned 20 points with wins in the 800 (2:19.53) and 1,600 (5:03.93). Riley Austin finished second to Hosty in the 800 while Molly Mills came in third. Haddonfield continued to dominate distance as Madison Kelsey was victorious in the 3,200 at 11:36.29.
The team added extra points as Nina Fisicaro won the pole vault at 9-0. The 4×400 squad also won gold at 4:05.80.
Willingboro finished second with 65 points while Barnegat rounded out the top three at 48. Willingboro was led by its sprinters as Maya Bolden won the 55 with a time of 7.28. Kaila Speight was second and Jade Pinder finished third. Pinder would go onto win gold in the 400 at 58.27. Trinity Brapoh was victorious in the 55h hurdles at 8.56 as well.
Egypt Bolan of Lindenwold, who is the reigning state champion in the high jump, won the sectional title with a mark of 5-4. Elizabeth Bushchizaao of Barnegat won the shot put at 37-3.
