Jack Riewe scored four goals and added an assist to lead Hopewell Valley to a 5-2 victory over Princeton at Mercer County Park.
Riewe received offensive support from Patrick Slajchert, who recorded four assists, and Owen Thedinga, who scored one goal and added three assists for Hopewell Valley (11-7-1).
Hopewell Valley took control early, scoring once in the first period before adding two goals in the second period. Thedinga opened the scoring at 3:09 of the first period with assists from Riewe and Slajchert.
Princeton (7-9-1) briefly tied the game in the second period when Ryan Garlock scored at 8:24 with assists from Anders Hedin and Baptiste Demurge. However, Riewe responded with back-to-back goals to give Hopewell Valley a 3-1 lead heading into the third period.
Demurge cut the deficit to 3-2 early in the third period with assists from Samuel Gibb and Liam Campbell, but Riewe added two more goals to seal the victory for Hopewell Valley.
Emma Seamon was strong in goal for Hopewell Valley, making 37 saves on 39 shots.
Peter Pessutti made 21 saves for Princeton.
