Noah Dela Cruz scored 17 points to help Jefferson secured a 64-57 victory over Vernon in an NJAC-Freedom Division matchup in Oak Ridge.
Jefferson (13-2) remained perfect in conference play at 7-0, using a strong second quarter to build a lead it would never relinquish. The Falcons outscored Vernon 17-5 in that decisive period to take a 30-14 halftime advantage.
Tyler Dobrzynski matched Dela Cruz with 17 points for Vernon (6-9), including four 3-pointers. John Campbell contributed 13 points for Jefferson, while Eric Hokenberg added 12.
Vernon made a strong push in the second half, outscoring Jefferson 43-34 over the final two quarters.
For Vernon, Dylan Heykoop and Dustin Wagner each scored 14 points, with Wagner connecting on two 3-pointers. Dan Decker rounded out Vernon’s double-digit scorers with 12 points.
