Kaho is cast for the lead role in NHK drama series “The Diary of a Novelist.” Also cast for the drama series are Sylvia Grab, Itsuji Itao, Satoru Matsuo, and Yuta Hayashi. The suspense human drama will revolve around a diary that was left behind by a late writer and the secret actions taken by two women over that diary. Kaho will play Megumi Eto, who is an editor.

Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Megumi Eto (Kaho) is about to work with famous writer Tamaki Serizawa (Itsuji Itao) as his editor, but he dies suddenly after falling down the stairs. One year later, she hears from Tamaki Serizawa’s wife Mariko (Sylvia Grab) that she has an unpublished manuscript by her late husband. Megumi Eto makes a visit to Mariko. She finds a diary that was written by Tamaki Serizawa. She reads the diary with excitement, but some of the writing reads differently from Tamaki Serizawa’s past works. She wonders who wrote the diary? It turns out Mariko added elements to the diary based on Tamaki Serizawa’s concerns that he expressed to a generative AI app when he was alive. To get back on her feet as an editor, Megumi Eto makes an offer to Mariko that she should not make.
