Steve Mate picked up his 500th win as head coach as Spotswood defeated Dunellen, 66-48, in Dunellen.
Mate, who is in his 31st season as head coach at Spotswood, has led the Chargers to five 20+ win seasons. Now 14-10, Spotswood is on the verge of its fifth consecutive winning season under Mate.
Tyler VanLeeuwen led a balanced offensive effort in the win, posting a team-best 17 points. Jack Abrams had 15 points and both Se’mir Tolbert-Brimage and Mike Ferrer scored 13 apiece.
For Dunellen (11-13), Jamael Davis had 18 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks. J.J. Goodridge added nine points, five rebounds, five steals and four assists.
