New Jersey-based Salad House, a chain franchise known for its fresh, made-to-order customizable salads, plans to open three new locations in New Jersey this month with two more in the works.
The openings planned for this month include:
- Marlboro – 314 Route 9 North
- Metuchen – 660 Middlesex Ave.
- Wall – 1919 Route 35
A location is also slated to open in Wayne at 625 Hamburg Turnpike and a lease has also been signed in East Brunswick.
“We have several locations in various stages of development and expect continued openings throughout the coming year as we expand thoughtfully with strong franchise partners,” according to owner Joey Cioffi.
Salad House is unique in its offerings and well-poised for growth beyond its Jersey roots, Cioffi said.
“While New Jersey will always be home, we’ve already expanded into New York and recently signed agreements for future locations in Maryland. Strategic growth beyond New Jersey is a major focus.”
Cioffi said the health-focused menu has set Salad House up for success.
“ Everything is chopped fresh to order, portions are generous, and guests can fully customize their meals without feeling like they’re sacrificing flavor for health,” he said.
“Beyond the food, we invest heavily in loyalty, community partnerships, and long-term team culture, which shows up in the consistency of our guest experience across locations.”

Cioffi is no stranger to the food business.
“I grew up in my family’s deli (Cioffi’s of Springfield), so hospitality is in my DNA,” he said. “I learned early on how important quality, speed, and knowing your regulars are.
Cioffi said the Springfield deli, which has been “going strong since 1981,” is “the reason we have a mom and pop soul!”
Salad House’s other New Jersey locations include Cherry Hill, Englewood, Hackensack, Livingston, Manahawkin, Millburn, Montclair, Morristown, Newark, New Brunswick, Parsippany, Red Bank, Ridgewood, Rutherford, Secaucus, Sparta, Toms River, Westfield and Westwood.
