New York State Police have identified the pedestrian struck and killed on the Palisades Interstate Parkway last week as a 70-year-old New Jersey woman.
Minette Brown was on the road in the right lane at 6:05 p.m. Saturday near exit 9 in Clarkstown when a northbound minivan struck her, authorities said.
The impact pushed Brown into the left lane, where a car also hit her.
Brown died of her injuries at an area hospital. Her hometown wasn’t immediately available.
New York State Police are still seeking witnesses. Anyone with information is asked to call 845-344-5300.
