Roselle Catholic, No. 5 in the NJ.com Top 20, used a big first-half to defeat No. 10 Rutgers Prep 74-52 in the Big Jersey Showcase at Caldwell University in Caldwell.

The Lions (10-6) jumped out to a 19-4 lead after the first quarter and extended their advantage to 46-19 by halftime.

While Rutgers Prep (11-6) showed signs of life with a 24-8 run in the third quarter, Roselle Catholic responded with a 20-9 fourth to secure the victory.

Bryce Williams led the Argonauts with 18 points, while Nicolas Nsenkyire contributed 10 points and six rebounds.

Roselle Catholic snapped Rutgers Prep’s five-game winning streak.
