(TRENTON, NJ) — To celebrate the culmination of their forty-first season, Passage Theatre, the only professional theatre company in the city of Trenton, will host their annual fundraiser gala on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Trenton War Memorial. The event begins at 5:00pm.
The gala comes two months after the closing of the world premiere production of Muleheaded or, Zora and Langston Write a Play by David Robson, which was both critically acclaimed and the highest selling production at Passage in the past eight years.
“In a time when so many arts organizations have been on the front line fighting to stay above and ahead, Passage Theatre continued to forge forward with the great love, support and strength from the community to make this season a phenomenal success,” shared Passage Theatre’s Director of Advancement Monah Yancy. “‘Freedom Has No Rehearsal’ is the theme for this year’s celebration as we show we are unafraid and must hold freedom in our hands. Amiri Baraka once said, ‘A man is either free or he is not. There cannot be any apprenticeship for freedom.'”
This year’s gala will honor Melody Marshall with the Emerging Artist Award, Reggie Hallett with the Cultural Leader Award, and Richard Bilotti with the Patron of the Arts Excellence Award. The gala will include dinner, cocktail hour, a silent auction, and world-class jazz entertainment.
Tickets for the gala are available for purchase online. The Trenton War Memorial is located at 1 Memorial Drive in Trenton, New Jersey.
