Edore Pela scored a game-high 21 points, including 10 free throws, to lead Camden Catholic to a 46-40 victory over No. 18 Cherokee in an Olympic Conference game in Cherry Hill.
Pela was efficient at the free-throw line, converting 10 of 13 attempts while also adding a 3-pointer and four two-point field goals as Camden Catholic (16-3) won its fifth game in a row.
Brielle Alaba led Cherokee (14-4) with 14 points, including one 3-pointer and a perfect 3-for-3 performance from the free-throw line. Jordan Arnold contributed 12 points for the Chiefs.
Camden Catholic’s Maddie Brennan added 10 points, while Caroline Brennan chipped in nine points. Aniyah Cureton rounded out the scoring for Camden Catholic with six points.
