American Theater Group presents “My Fair Lady” (UNION, NJ) — American Theater Group (ATG) presents My Fair Lady from February 26-March 15, 2026, in venues located in Basking Ridge, Union, and Rahway. Based on George Bernard Shaw’s play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady was the recipient of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The production is directed by ATG’s Producing Artistic Director James Vagias, with choreography by Victoria Casillo and Musical Direction by Amanda Dee.
McCarter Theatre Center presents “Circus Quixote” from Chicago’s Lookingglass Theatre Company and The Actors Gymnasium (PRINCETON, NJ) — McCarter Theatre Center presents Circus Quixote, a gravity-defying theatrical spectacle from Chicago’s famed Lookingglass Theatre Company, in association with The Actors Gymnasium, running March 4–15, 2026. Blending epic adventure with high-flying circus artistry, the production reimagines one of literature’s most iconic dreamers for a world that may need him now more than ever.

The Growing Stage presents “Mesmerized: A Ben Franklin Science and History Mystery” (NETCONG, NJ) — The Growing Stage, the children’s theatre of New Jersey, presents Mesmerized: A Ben Franklin Science and History Mystery weekends from March 6-22, 2026. This was adapted for the stage by Suzanne Maynard Miller and is based on the book Mesmerized: How Ben Franklin Solved a Mystery that Baffled All of France by Mara Rockliff. Pushcart Players Artistic Director Performs “Over the River and Through the Woods” with Company Theatre Group (HACKENSACK, NJ) — Paul Whelihan, producing artistic director of NJ’s renowned touring educational theater, Pushcart Players will appear in the Company Theatre Group’s production of Over the River and Through the Woods from March 7-15, 2026 at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center.
Ocean County College Repertory Theater Company presents “Dancing at Lughnasa” (TOMS RIVER, NJ) — The Ocean County College Repertory Theater Company presents Dancing at Lughnasa across two weekends from March 13-22, 2026 in the Black Box Theater. This extraordinary play by Brian Friel is the story of five unmarried sisters eking out their lives in a small village in Ireland in 1936.

The Academy for Performing Arts at UCVTS presents “Les Misérables” (RAHWAY, NJ) — The Academy for Performing Arts at UCVTS presents Les Misérables at Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) from March 13-15, 2026. Set in nineteenth-century France, Les Misérables is a sweeping epic of love, sacrifice, and redemption.
George Street Playhouse presents “What Became of Us” by Shayan Lofti (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — George Street Playhouse presents What Became of Us by Shayan Lofti and directed by Laiona Michelle (GSP’s Little Girl Blue). Previews begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, with opening night set for Friday, March 20, for a limited engagement through Sunday, April 5, 2026, at George Street Playhouse.

Lantern Theater Company presents “Blues For An Alabama Sky” (PHILADELPHIA, PA) — Lantern Theater Company continues its 2025-26 season with the Philadelphia premiere of Blues for an Alabama Sky by Pearl Cleage. Guest director Brett Ashley Robinson leads an ensemble cast including Kash Goins, Taylor Mitchell, and Ebony Pullum, as well as Lantern newcomers Tariq Kanu and Cookie Diorio. Blues for an Alabama Sky runs Thursday, February 12 through Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. Stephen’s Theater in Center City Philadelphia.
NJ Rep presents the World Premiere of “Samantha Inside Out” (LONG BRANCH, NJ) — New Jersey Repertory Company (NJ Rep), the award-winning incubator for new plays and daring theatrical voices, kicks off its 2026 Mainstage Season with the world premiere of Samantha Inside Out, running February 19 through March 15, 2026, at the Lumia Theater in Long Branch. Opening night will be February 21, 2026.
Two River Theater announces cast and creative for “A Doll’s House” (RED BANK, NJ) — The award-winning Two River Theater has announced the cast and creative team for Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House. Written by Henrik Ibsen and adapted and directed by acclaimed director Justin Emeka (Sweat, Romeo and Juliet), this world premiere adaptation is reimagined in 1950s New Jersey, weaving Black culture into one of the most powerful plays ever experienced. A Doll’s House will run in the Joan and Robert Rechnitz Theater from February 21–March 15, 2026.
Hunterdon Hills Playhouse presents “The Sunshine Boys” by Neil Simon (HAMPTON, NJ) — Hunterdon Hills Playhouse presents The Sunshine Boys by Neil Simon from February 24 through March 26, 2026. This is a classic comedy about two aging vaudeville performers, Willie Clark and Al Lewis, who were once a legendary duo but haven’t spoken in years due to a bitter falling out.
American Theater Group presents Lerner and Loewe’s “My Fair Lady” (BASKING RIDGE, NJ) — American Theater Group (ATG) will present Lerner and Loewe’s beloved My Fair Lady as its final main stage production of the 2025-26 season. The production will run February 26 to March 15, 2026 at three venues in New Jersey: the Sieminski Theater in Basking Ridge, the DMK Theater/Union Arts Center in Union, and UCPAC’s Hamilton Stage in Rahway.
Music Mountain Theatre presents “Shrek” (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) — Music Mountain Theatre presents Shrek weekends from February 27 through March 22, 2026. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new songs from Jeanine Tesori (Thoroughly Modern Millie; Caroline, or Change) and a sidesplitting book by David Lindsay-Abaire.
The Curtain presents a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Richard III” (JERSEY CITY, NJ) — The Curtain, Jersey City’s premier classical theatre, will present an all-new adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Richard III this March at Nimbus Arts Center weekends from March 5-29, 2026. Directed and adapted by Sean Hagerty, this morbidly comic, blood-soaked classic charts the ruthless rise of Shakespeare’s most notorious king.
Somerset Valley Players presents “Come Blow Your Horn” by Neil Simon (HILLSBOROUGH, NJ) — Somerset Valley Players presents Come Blow Your Horn by Neil Simon across three weekends from March 6-22, 2026. The play tells the story of a young man’s decision to leave the home of his parents for the bachelor pad of his older brother who leads a swinging ’60s lifestyle.
The Ritz Theatre Company presents “She Kills Monsters” (HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ) — The Ritz Theatre Company presents She Kills Monsters from March 6-29, 2026. A comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games! In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

Mystery, Mayhem and Music Take the Stage in Whodunit “Clue: The Musical” at Kelsey Theatre (WEST WINDSOR, NJ) — A hilarious murder-mystery comedy, inspired by the Hasbro board game and adapted from the fan-favorite film, comes to the Kelsey Theatre stage when the Bear Tavern Project presents Clue: The Musical, weekends from March 6-15, 2026 on Mercer County Community College’s West Windsor Campus.
Playhouse 22 presents “Cry it Out” (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) — Playhouse 22 presents Cry it Out, a comedy about the modern complexities and challenges of motherhood in today’s world, weekends from March 6-15, 2026. This play by Molly Smith Metzler explores the lives of three mothers navigating the uncertainties of being a parent while living in suburban Long Island. It delves into themes of friendship, social class, the pressure to “have it all,” and the realities of balancing work and family life.
The Company Theatre Group presents “Over The River and Through the Woods” at HACPAC (HACKENSACK, NJ) — The Company Theatre Group presents Over The River and Through the Woods across two weekends from March 7-15, 2026 at the Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC). With their return to the HACPAC for the first time since 2019, The Company brings Oradell native Joe DiPietro’s touching, laugh-a-minute play to their audiences.
Westfield Community Players presents “The Diary of Anne Frank” (WESTFIELD, NJ) — Westfield Community Players presents The Diary of Anne Frank across three weekends from March 7-21, 2026. This play is by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hacketts based upon Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, adapted by Wendy Kesselman. The production is directed by Sharon Coyle.
Bergen County Players Pairs Southern Hospitality with “The Cake” for an Exclusive Opening Weekend Celebration (ORADELL, NJ) — Bergen County Players (BCP) is turning up the heat for the opening of Bekah Brunstetter’s hit dramedy, The Cake, with a special community-focused promotion: “A Slice of Community: Opening Weekend Reception.” To celebrate the “faith, family, and frosting” at the heart of the play, BCP has partnered with local favorite The Modern Cakery to host a complimentary pre-curtain reception in the lounge of the Little Firehouse Theatre during opening weekend, March 14-15, 2026.

The play one the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a 2010 revival won the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award for best revival.
The Maplewood Strollers presents “Private Lives” (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) — The Maplewood Strollers presents Private Lives across two weekends from March 12-22, 2026. When a divorced couple accidentally find themselves honeymooning with their new spouses in adjacent rooms, sparks fly in this classic comedy of manners by the witty and wry Noël Coward!
South Camden Theatre Company presents “The Revolutionists” (CAMDEN, NJ) — South Camden Theatre Company presents The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson across three weekends from March 13-29, 2026. Fool Moon Theatre Company to present “Love Letters” in Somers Point And Egg Harbor City (EGG HARBOR CITY, NJ) — Fool Moon Theatre Company’s upcoming production of A.R. Gurney’s “Love Letters” will be performed in two Atlantic County locations. On March 14, audiences can see the beloved two-person show at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Egg Harbor City, then from March 21-22, 2026 theatergoers can catch the play at Studio;Space in Somers Point.
New Jersey Theatre Alliance presents The 2026 Combined Auditions (HILLSIDE, NJ) — New Jersey Theatre Alliance (NJTA), the service organization for the state and region’s 41 professional theatres, will hold auditions in Enlow Recital Hall on the campus of Kean University in Hillside, NJ on Monday, March 16 from 10:00am-5:00pm for Equity performers, and Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 10:00am-5:00pm for Non-Equity performers. This is a fantastic opportunity to be seen by multiple theatres at once. Representatives from their member theatres will follow up with actors directly if they are interested in working with them.

Lomotion Live Brings the Heat with “The Lifespan of a Fact” (BOONTON, NJ) — What happens when facts, feelings, and footnotes enter the ring? Lomotion Live invites audiences to find out with The Lifespan of a Fact, a whip-smart, laugh-out-loud, edge-of-your-seat play by Jeremy Kareken & David Murrell, and Gordon Farrell, based on the real-life literary clash by John D’Agata and Jim Fingal. NJCU Center for the Arts presents Alanis Morissette’s “Jagged Little Pill” (JERSEY CITY, NJ) — New Jersey City University’s Center for the Arts presents Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill across two weekends from March 20-29, 2026 in the Margaret Williams Theatre. Released in June 1995, “Jagged Little Pill” made a household name of Alanis Morissette, earning her the title of the best-selling international debut artist in history. Three decades later, that same album was the inspiration for a Broadway musical. Jagged Little Pill is a raw, edgy, topical, and by no means difficult to swallow.
Main Street Theatre Company presents “Beau Jest” (OLD BRIDGE, NJ) — Main Street Theatre Company presents Beau Jest by James Sherman across two weekends from March 21-29, 2026. In the play, Sarah is a nice Jewish girl with a problem: her parents want her married to a nice Jewish boy. They have never met her boyfriend, a WASP executive named Chris Kringle.
Upcoming Staged Reading of “In Equal Measure” at Puffin Cultural Forum to Spark Community Dialogue Rooted in Teaneck’s History (TEANECK, NJ) — Puffin Cultural Forum, a project of the Puffin Foundation, Ltd., will present a special staged reading of In Equal Measure on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 7:00pm, followed by a facilitated community discussion on police accountability, communal grief, and the moral consequences when justice systems fail. The play centers on a father grappling with the death of his son at the hands of police and the emotional fallout when accountability does not come.
The Theater Project to Present Works by Winners of Young Playwrights Competition 2026 (CRANFORD, NJ) — Four students from New Jersey high schools wrote the winning plays in The Theater Project’s Young Playwrights Competition 2026. They will see their works performed by professional actors at the awards ceremony on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Cranford Community Center (220 Walnut Ave) in Cranford, NJ. Eight students whose work received Honorable Mentions will also be recognized. Showtime is 2:00pm.
