Former Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt has an upcoming visit with Miami as he navigates through the transfer portal, according to Bruce Feldman and Sam Khan Jr. of The Athletic.
Leavitt has already visited LSU, Tennessee and Kentucky. He was spotted sitting next to Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin while attending a basketball game on campus.
The 21-year-old is listed as the No. 1 overall player available in the portal, per 247Sports’ rankings.
Leavitt was limited to just seven appearances in 2025 due to a foot injury that required surgery, completing 60.7 percent of his passes for 1,628 yards and 10 touchdowns compared to three interceptions.
During his last fully healthy season in 2024, he threw for 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns while only getting picked off six times in 13 games.
Miami is preparing for a chance to compete for a national title after wrapping up a 31-27 win over Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff semifinals on Thursday, but Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck has no years of eligibility remaining beyond this season.
