North Philadelphia is turning into Piscataway South.
A trio of Rutgers transfers have signed with Temple through the first nine days of the transfer portal window, the program announced. Running back Samuel Brown V and offensive linemen John Stone and Zach Aamland all inked with the Owls and will be making the short move down I-95 to Pennsylvania.
There, they will meet another former Scarlet Knight in quarterback Ajani Sheppard, who signed with Temple on Sunday after spending last fall with Washington State.
Brown was among the first Rutgers players to enter the portal this offseason. He played in just four games this season, using his redshirt to preserve his final year of eligibility.
The Philadelphia native elected to return home, where he will look to unlock the potential he showed at Rutgers as a star true freshman before a season-ending foot injury stalled his progress.
Stone and Aamland — New Jersey natives from Sewell and South Brunswick, respectively — will look to earn some playing time after combining for just 35 offensive snaps last season.
