Troy Strelec dominated with a game-high 32 points and 12 rebounds to go with five steals as third-seeded Hackettstown cruised to a 60-40 victory over sixth-seeded Vernon in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament quarterfinals in Hackettstown.
Hackettstown (14-6) established control early, jumping out to a commanding 19-5 lead after the first quarter and extending the advantage to 35-15 by halftime.
With the win, Hackettstown advances to face second-seeded Delaware Valley in the semifinals on Saturday at Wallkill Valley.
Kolton Maney contributed 14 points, while adding five steals, four rebounds and three assists for Hackettstown. Sean Hall added 10 points in the victory.
Vernon falls to 8-10 on the season.
