At 15.5 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby, I’ve worn my way through more maternity leggings than I can count — Motherhood Maternity, HATCH Collection, Ingrid & Isabel and Old Navy… you name the store or brand, I’ve probably stretched out at least one pair.
And while nearly all maternity leggings are more comfortable than jeans or the sad, too-tight athleisure you cling to in early pregnancy, the Walifrey Women’s Maternity Leggings with Pockets are in a completely different league.
Walifrey Women’s Maternity Leggings with Pockets
Starting from $10 in select sizes
Available in eight colorways (pictured in black); sizes S-2XL
I initially ordered two pairs on impulse — a Black and a Blue — because my work-from-home rotation was getting snug, it was freezing outside, I refused to go shopping and these promised next-day delivery at a price that didn’t sting.
They’re a designated No. 1 bestseller in the “Maternity Leggings” category, come with average 4.5-star rating and sell for under-$15, so my pre-purchase anxiety was minimal and I had no problem adding them to cart.
But the moment I ripped open the package and pulled them on, I actually laughed out loud because… truly, how dare these be this comfortable?
A ‘butter soft’ feel that’s actually butter soft
Walifrey calls their fabric “soft,” but that barely captures it. These leggings feel like a second skin in the best way — no itchiness, no weird seams, no restrictive feeling anywhere. They contour your body without squeezing or digging, and they make lumps and bumps much less noticeable.
As someone who has carried differently with every pregnancy — two boys, one girl, and now another little girl on the way — I started showing much earlier this time around. And yes, aesthetics shouldn’t matter… but they do. I’ve been feeling wider, softer and generally less “cute bump” and more “is she or isn’t she?” These leggings change all of that. They define the bump, smooth everything else and actually make me feel confident and put together.
An over-the-bump fit that actually works
Over-the-bump styles can be hit or miss. Too low and they roll. Too high and they land somewhere between bra and armpit, which is never the goal. Walifrey nailed the sweet spot.
The high waistband pulls all the way up, offers gentle support, stays put and sits flush right under my bra line without looking bulky or creating that dreaded multi-layered maternity-torso effect. It feels secure without any pressure, warm without being sweaty and supportive without feeling constricting.
Designed to grow with you — and to not show anything through
The elastic, adaptive fabric is what makes these pregnancy pants (and yes, I’ll call them that because they’re my 24/7 layer) truly top-tier. They stretch exactly where you want them to and nowhere you don’t. I can already tell these will last me through my third trimester and postpartum.
And let’s talk opacity: these are not see-through. At all. The fabric is fully non-transparent even during stretches or squats, which is something you’d expect from pricey premium brands, not an affordable Amazon find.
Breathable, lightweight and perfect for daily wear
I run hot during pregnancy (fourth baby = an unhinged internal thermostat), so breathability is crucial. These keep me dry and comfortable all day — whether I’m working, lounging, chasing my kids or doing quick errands.

And the pockets are a gift. They’re deep enough to stash your phone without it sliding out, and every pair of maternity leggings should have them.
The verdict: They’re that good

I now own four pairs — black, blue, another Bback and a grey — because when you find something this comfortable, this flattering and this affordable, you stock up like it’s your job.
After years of trying every maternity legging under the sun, I can say confidently:
- The Walifrey Maternity Leggings with Pockets are the best in the business.
- not just good-for-the-price good
- not just “okay until third trimester”
- not just “these will do”
They’re the leggings I want to live in from now until delivery day and honestly probably long after.
