MANILA, Philippines — Former actor Alvin Aragon defended his wife and former SexBomb Girls member Izzy Trazona using Bible verses on her stance on her trans child Sofia and homosexuality.
The “StarStruck” alum said that his wife has been receiving criticisms with accusations that Izzy had not accepted Sofia’s gender preference.
“Ang daming bash ni Izzy. Doon pa lang sa anak niyang pinili ang direksyon maging bading, ang dami nang bash eh kasi hindi daw tinanggap kasi bading,” he said during his interview with DWAR uploaded on its YouTube channel last February 13.
“Eh, totoo naman, e. Ano bang sabi sa Bible? God judged homosexuality,” he added.
Alvin then cited Biblical verses to explain about faith and homosexuality. He also cited the story of Sodom and Gomorrah.
“Ngayon, ang mabuting magulang, sasabihin mo sa anak mo kung ano ‘yung huwag mong gawin, ‘di ba? Kasi mapapahamak ka diyan ‘pag ginawa mo,” he said.
“God will throw you to hell if you continue to do homosexuality, mamuhay ka, and you don’t want to believe in Jesus? I assure you that God will throw you to hell if you don’t stop, if you don’t repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Sofia answered queries from social media users on X who were asking about her relationship with her celebrity mother.
“Sa lahat ng nag-message sakin, no. ‘Di na po kami nagkikita ni mama, I also am scared na ‘pag nakita niya na ako ngayon as a transwoman, iba ‘yung reaction na ma-receive ko and ayoko na bumalik sa dark place nung lumabas ‘yung issue,” she said.
“I just want validation and acceptance. Wala ng iba,” she added.
Izzy, meanwhile, revealed her conversation with Sofia, where the latter congratulated her for joining her fellow SexBomb Dancers at the group’s fourth reunion show last February 7 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
