Marchello Rubino scored a game-high 23 points and Braydon VanLenten added 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals as Pequannock pulled away from West Morris, 85-75, on Thursday night in Pompton Plains.
Jack Picardo contributed 14 points and four assists for Pequannock, and Ryan Hayzler added nine points on three three-pointers. Sef Bajraktarevic chipped in 11 points and three rebounds, and Michael Damico dished out five assists.
Pequannock (18-6) controlled the second quarter, outscoring West Morris 21-14 to build a lead it would not relinquish. It closed the game on a 26-23 fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Matt Thomas led West Morris with 21 points, connecting on five three-pointers. Teddy Olsen added 17 points and Isaiah Fowler-Rampton contributed 16. West Morris (5-20) made 11 three-pointers as a team.
