Alice Merolli, a junior at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, has been elected as the new president of the College Democrats of New Jersey.
Andrew LoMonte of The College of New Jersey will serve as vice president, Eric Silverman of Rutgers-New Brunswick as executive director, and Ania Kicinska of The College of New Jersey is the new communications director.
Ian Mann of Princeton University is the new treasurer and Juliette Madea of Rutgers-New Brunswick is the political director.
The new membership director is Joseph Viso of Stockton University. He is not related to controversial former Republican Assembly candidate Joseph Viso, who ran in the 36th district in 2021. Viso had been convicted of drug dealing and admitted to smearing feces on the door of a day care center because he was angry that Barack Obama had been elected President.
The group voted to endorse Rebecca Bennett for Congress in the 7th district and Sue Altman in the 12th.
