Four candidates seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate will take part in a debate on Thursday, May 28, at 8:00 PM, sponsored by the New Jersey Globe and Rider University.
The Senate aspirants – Dr. Robert Lebovics, former Tabernacle Deputy Mayor Justin Michael Murphy, State Trooper Richard Tabor, and former News 12 New Jersey reporter Alex Zdan – are seeking to challenge the Democratic incumbent, Cory Booker.
The 60-minute debate will be streamed on the New Jersey Globe, Facebook Live, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube, and will also air several times on C-SPAN. The debate will be available to voters through the June 2 primary election.
New Jersey Globe statehouse reporter Zach Blackburn will moderate the debate.
With the elimination of county organization lines, and without any one candidate dominating party endorsements, the race to pick Booker’s opponent appears to be wide open.
