MANILA, Philippines — Celebrity mother-daughter duo Aiko Melendez and Andre Yllana will be working together on an acting project for the first time.
The public servant and award-winning actress excitedly announced that one of her and Andre’s wishes has come true — to be given the chance to work together in front of the camera.
In her Instagram post, Aiko shared about the microdrama series she and Andre did for Viva Movie Box (VMB), “A Mother’s Sacrifice.”
“As a mother, there is no greater love than the love we have for our children,” Aiko captioned the post.
“Through every challenge, every sacrifice, and every silent prayer, a mother’s heart will always choose her child,” she added.
Aiko is very grateful to Viva Entertainment for choosing them to star in the VMB vertical series.
“This project is extra special to me because it is not only a story about love and sacrifice, it is also a moment I get to treasure as a mother working alongside her son,” she said.
The actress and councilor is also super thankful to the series’ director, Joy Aquino, for giving her and Jomari Yllana’s son the opportunity to work with each other for the first time.
“There are opportunities in life that come only once, and this is definitely one of them. Thank you to Director Joy Aquino and the entire team for making this memorable experience possible,” she said.
