Cape Verde fans are in South Florida ahead of the Blue Sharks’ Group H game against Uruguay.
On Saturday night, they gathered at Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale, donning colors of their country: blue, white, red and yellow.
On Sunday, fans made their way to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. The underdog darling of the tournament, Cape Verde is looking for 3 points and a win vs. Uruguay. Earlier in the day, Spain — who played to a surprising scoreless draw with Cape Verde in the opener — shut out Saudi Arabia, 4-0, to lead the Group H standings.
Cape Verde, which is training in Tampa, will head to Houston to face Saudi Arabia on Friday.
