For today’s couples, wedding registries are less about stocking up on household essentials and more about finding beautifully made pieces they might not buy for themselves. From artisanal homeware to hard-to-find designer objects, the focus is on gifts that feel special to receive, rewarding to give, and meaningful long after the wedding celebrations have ended.
“Couples are feeling Amazon-white-ceramic-plate-fatigue and are leaning into more intricate, unique tabletop that doesn’t come with two-day shipping,” Angel Hawwa, co-founder of Vita Curata, a new modern registry platform, tells Who What Wear. Rather than defaulting to traditional fine china and silver, couples are gravitating toward pieces that feel distinctive enough to display on open shelves yet functional enough for everyday use.
That philosophy is at the heart of Vita Curata, which Hawwa co-founded with Brinn Leist to rethink the traditional wedding registry. “Traditional registries are built around volume and function, which overwhelm rather than inspire,” Hawwa says. “We curate custom registries that include a highly edited selection of gifts that reflect a couple’s taste and style.” The name derives from the Latin word cura, meaning care, and reflects the founders’ personal approach to helping couples celebrate this next chapter.

The idea grew out of watching friends who already lived together struggle to build registries filled with things they actually wanted. “It was an afterthought in a process that is so thoughtful in every other aspect,” Hawwa says. “So we built a registry that people can get excited about.”
The platform brings together well-known labels, independent artisans, and emerging labels you wouldn’t find at a department store. It also offers experiential gifts for couples who prefer something beyond a physical present. “The commonality is that it all feels luxurious, just like the wedding you’re planning,” Hawwa says.
Although Vita Curata is only four months old, more than 700 registries have already been created, many by fashion and beauty insiders. “The coolest, most fashion-forward brides right now are obsessed with the selection at Porta,” Hawwa says, noting that the Carlotta Vase and Artichoke Bowl have been particularly popular. The platforms’ users are also loving items from Italian brands like Missoni, Seletti, Ivo Angel, Coralla Maiuri, and Mario Luca Giusti.
