Nike and the LEGO Group take cues from astronauts and ice planets for their latest basketball collection, giving kids space-inspired footwear and apparel for the court and everyday wear. Two sneakers, the Air Force 1 Low LV8 and S.T. Dynamite, lead the lineup alongside four apparel styles that draw on basketball uniforms, tunnel-walk dressing and LEGO characters.
SNEAKERS
The collaboration builds on the companies’ shared belief that play fuels creativity. Nike contributes its focus on athletes, while the LEGO Group brings recognizable brick and minifigure references. Together, the designs encourage basketball-loving kids to explore personal style and imaginative play while maintaining their connection to the game.
Space Suits and Ice Planets
The Nike Air Force 1 Low LV8 takes its material cues from an astronaut’s space suit. Its upper references the suit’s appearance, with sketched stitch detailing giving the shoe a playful, constructed feel. A LEGO space-inspired Swoosh and minifigure details establish the collaboration’s visual identity.
The Nike S.T. Dynamite follows an ice-planet theme. Color-shifting finishes give Nike’s basketball model for kids a galactic appearance, while a glitter outsole contributes to the icy treatment. Both footwear styles carry recognizable LEGO details and patterns, with sizes ranging from 10.5C to 7Y.
The two sneakers introduce different interpretations of space exploration within the same collection. The Air Force 1 draws from astronaut equipment, and the S.T. Dynamite uses surface finishes to evoke an imagined planetary environment.
A Young Explorer’s Basketball Wardrobe
The apparel takes inspiration from an outer-space tunnel walk and an imagined basketball arena. Basketball silhouettes and cultural references provide the foundation for space graphics, custom brick-built scenes and hidden character details. The pieces form a young explorer’s uniform, with humor and discovery running through the designs.
Printed ripstop pants connect directly to the Air Force 1’s material story. Durable materials and space-themed graphics carry the footwear’s astronaut references into the clothing lineup.
A full-zip fleece hoodie offers everyday comfort and several of the collection’s character-driven details. Special LEGO space and Nike Swoosh logos accompany a lenticular basketball minifigure patch that changes appearance as the wearer changes its viewing angle. A spaceship-style sleeve port features a custom Nike Rayguns minifigure.
The graphic T-shirt applies the visual language of a basketball uniform to a short-sleeve silhouette. Space iconography and playful minifigure details continue the collection’s exploration theme.
Dri-FIT mesh basketball shorts provide the lineup’s performance apparel option. Their basketball-specific construction supports the collection’s connection to the court, alongside the everyday comfort and durable materials of the fleece and ripstop pieces.
Nike and the LEGO Group will launch the collection on November 2 at nike.com and retail locations in select countries in Asia, the Pacific, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The North American launch follows on November 24.
