Matthew Zocks scored a hat trick and added an assist to lead Livingston to its seventh straight win, a 4-3 victory over St. Joseph (Met.), at Ice Vault Arena in Wayne, and give head coach David Conklin his 250th win.
Ben Diamond opened the scoring in the first period off an assist from Ben Diamond to give Livingston (9-1) a 1-0 lead.
St. Joseph (Met.)’s Casey Fugere answered back with a goal, assisted by Michael Sudia, to tie the game at one. Zocks scored to put Livingston up 2-1 heading into the first intermission.
St. Joseph (Met.)’s Brendan Crowley scored a power play goal in the second period, assisted by Connor Emmich, to even the score at two.
Zocks added another goal, scoring off assists from Zach Givner and Rhys Bernstein, to give Livingston a 3-2 lead.
St. Joseph (Met.)’s Michael Sudia tied it up again with a goal, but Diamond set up for Zocks the game-winner, as Livingston held on for the 4-3 victory.
Andrew Downey made 27 saves on 30 shots for Livingston.
Brody Sansone stopped 26 of 30 shots for St. Joseph (Met.) (4-5).
