A 40-year-old man was sentenced to three years in state prison for strangling his girlfriend and repeatedly hitting her with a cane at a motel in Galloway.
Rashad Whitfield, of Galloway, will have to serve more than two years and six months before he is eligible for parole, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.
