St. Joseph by the Sea (NY) raced to a 46-21 lead by halftime and never looked back as it defeated East Brunswick 79-54 at the Coaches Choice NY/NJ Staten Island Challenge at Moore Catholic High School in New York.

Ava Catanho scored a team-high 20 points and Julianna DelosSantos-Branson recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds for East Brunswick.

The Bears suffered their first loss after seven straight wins to open the season.
