A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Sunday at 5:32 a.m. for light snow until 7:15 a.m. for Passaic, Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union counties.
“Light snow has developed over portions of the area and will continue to track west to east across the area. This will be a short-lived event, but with temperatures well below freezing, anything that does fall will coat roadways. Expect to see a dusting to a tenth or two of an inch snowfall. Some slippery travel is possible. Allow some extra time if traveling this morning,” explains the weather service.
