Recently elected Democratic Rep. Analilia Mejia is the incumbent, winning in April the seat vacated by Mikie Sherrill after she was elected governor. She has the support of the Democratic party in all three counties. Mejia faces three challengers. Donald Cresitello is a former mayor of Morristown running under the slogan “Democrat with Experience Municipal, Business, International.” Joseph Lewis, a technical product lead from Montville, is running under the banner “Fighting to Fix a Broken Economy.” Justin Strickland, a Chatham councilman who ran unsuccessfully in the special primary earlier this year, is calling for “Universal Healthcare and Term Limits.”
Randolph Councilman Joe Hathaway, who lost the April special election to Mejia, is unopposed in this primary.
