MANILA, Philippines — “StarStruck” alum Alvin Aragon gave his thoughts on comments comparing him to the other husbands of SexBomb Girls.
The former “StarStruck” contestant reacted to the comments of social media users during his interview with Abante’s Jigo Live uploaded on YouTube last February 13.
“Kino-compare pa ako sa ibang asawa ng SexBomb na mabait. Mabait daw sila kasi pinayagan nila ang asawa nila na mag-concert. ‘Yun ba ang basehan ng mabait na husband? Payagan lang mag-concert? ‘Di ba? Parang ang babaw naman,” Alvin said.
Alvin, who was the batchmate of Jennylyn Mercado and Katrina Halili during the first season of “StarStruck,” continued that he did not want to see his wife Izzy Trazona wearing “towel” and seethrough clothing in promotional materials and the concert, where she will be seen by other men.
Izzy was a member of SexBomb Girls until her departure in 2009. She was one of the anticipated guests and SexBomb member who surprised the fans when she attended the fourth reunion concert last February 7 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Alvin said he only wanted to protect his wife. He also named former actor and now Bulacan vice governor Alex Castro, who is the husband of SexBomb member Sunshine Garcia.
“Ano ba ‘yung suot nila? Ako, ayoko ‘yung asawa ko naka-towel lang sa poster. Niligawan ko nga asawa ko simula 2011 hanggang bago kami ikasal. Hindi ko nga siya hinalikan until the pastor said, ‘You may kiss the bride,’ tapos papayagan ko siya mag-concert para mag-towel lang, makikita ng gaanong karaming lalake sa buong Pilipinas? Tapos pasasayawin ko na naka-seethrough labas ang cleavage, labas ang legs? I want to protect my wife. Ako lang titingin kasi ako ang husband.
“Sinasabi nila, ‘Buti pa ‘yung asawa ni Sunshine, Vice Governor, pinayagan sila mag-concert.’ Dapat nga hindi eh. Dapat nga, ‘yung asawa mo, ingatan mo. Hindi mo hahayaang mag-suot ng mga damit na para pagnasaan ng mga lalaki,” Alvin said.
Sunshine, meanwhile, thanked her husband for always allowing her to do things that makes her happy.
“My date last night. Nagkaroon din tayo ng quality time. Hindi mo nakakalimutan talagang maging sweet, girl na girl ako haha!” she wrote on Facebook.
“And thank you lagi sa SUPPORT, hinahayaan mo akong mag-GROW at gawin ‘yung mga bagay na makakapag-pasaya sa akin. Thank you sa pag-intindi. I love you, VG (vice governor) Alex Castro,” she added.
