Uniqlo is collaborating with Danish womenswear designer Cecilie Bahnsen on a spring/summer collection combining the elevated design and craftsmanship of the luxury ready-to-wear label with Uniqlo’s commitment to comfort and materials.
Launching on 22 May, the Cecilie Bahnsen collection is defined by floral motifs and voluminous sleeves with frills and shirring, with dresses, tops and skirts that can be worn as single pieces or matching sets.
Comfort has been a key consideration in the design of the collection, with pieces made of high-quality cotton and elastic materials.

This collaboration also marks the first time the designer has created a childrenswear line, with pieces acting as a continuation of the adult styles. The girls’ line includes dresses, T-shirts and skorts that can be paired with adult versions from the collection.
Commenting on the collection, Cecilie Bahnsen said: “I’m so happy to be collaborating with Uniqlo for the first time. I’ve always designed pieces to be lived in, worn, and cherished every day, just as all Uniqlo LifeWear embodies. I’m very excited to be able to share that with so many women and girls around the world through this collection.”
Yukihiro Katsuta, Fast Retailing Group Senior Executive Officer and Head of R&D for Uniqlo, added: “Around the time Uniqlo opened its first store in Denmark, in Copenhagen, in 2019, I had an opportunity to meet Cecilie by chance.
“I was immediately drawn to her approach to craftsmanship and hoped that one day we might have the opportunity to create something together. Seven years on, that long-standing connection has finally come to fruition in the form of this collaboration.”
