N.J. basketball coaches excited for future after historic vote to add shot clock

It was close, very close, but the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association voted to approve the shot clock on Monday for boys and girls basketball.

The NJSIAA membership voted 170-166 to add shot clocks beginning in the 2027-28 winter season. New Jersey will become the 33rd state to implement a 35-second shot clock at the high school level.
