Maris Racal wins 1st Best Actress award for ‘Sunshine’

MANILA, Philippines — Maris Racal achieved a significant milestone in her career after winning her first-ever Best Actress award.

The actress posted her winning photos with her trophy on Instagram. 

“My first Best Actress WIN,” Maris wrote. “This will always be special to me.” 

Maris won the Best Lead Performance of 2025 for her performance in the movie “Sunshine” at the 6th Pinoy Rebyu Awards by the Society of Filipino Film Reviewers.

The award marks a breakthrough moment for Maris, who first gained public attention through the reality TV show “Pinoy Big Brother” before successfully transitioning into acting and music.
