Classic American Tales honors the 250th with “Margaret’s Diary During a Revolution”

(CAPE MAY, NJ) — “Before we retired to bed, an attempt was made to teach the children to pronounce ‘vegates,’ (how do you do?) like a German. Our good neighbors are a little concerned to think there is not one in the neighborhood who will be able to interpret for us when the Hessians are quartered here,” wrote Margaret Morris in her diary on December 21, 1776.

Prudential Center presents Ella Langley on September 10th

(NEWARK, NJ) — It’s been a landmark year for Ella Langley. Fresh off a sweep at the ACM Awards where she won all seven awards she was nominated for, two recent American Music Award wins, and being the soundtrack of the summer for a trio of German fans on Twitter traveling through America during the World Cup. Ella continues one of the most dominant runs in music. She brings The Dandelion Tour to the Prudential Center in Newark on September 10, 2026 at 7:00pm. Special guests ERNEST and Gabriella Rose will open the night.

Blue Curtain Concert Series presents Nanny Assis, Caleb Eckstein and Sasha Berliner in Princeton throughout July

(PRINCETON, NJ) — Blue Curtain returns this July with three Saturday evening performances at 8:00pm at the Princeton High School Performing Arts Center (16 Walnut Lane, Princeton). Free and open to the public, the annual concert series showcases an eclectic mix of Afro-Brazilian sounds, straight-ahead jazz and contemporary improvisation.

Film Review – “Blue Heron”

Do you remember your childhood? I mean really remember it? Some people are able to recall every last detail of the past, but most of us merely retain memories of a few standout moments. They could be moments of joy, or of trauma, but often they’re completely random. When I try to conjure memories of my childhood I tend not to think of specific incidents but rather senses: the smell of my dad’s aftershave, my mother’s perfume, or the sweaty socks I pulled off after a summer’s day of play. I can’t recall the faces of any of my childhood friends or my teachers, but I could probably tell you what my favourite song was in any given month of the ’80s. My childhood exists now as an aural and sensual collage rather than a reliable recollection of key events.

45th Bi-Annual New Jersey Film Festival will Take Place September 4th through October 4th

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) — The 45th Bi-Annual New Jersey Film Festival will be taking place between September 4 – October 4, 2026. As they have been doing the last few years, the festival will be presented as a hybrid with select in-person screenings at Rutgers University and most of the films available virtually via Video on Demand for 24 hours on their show date. The festival also be offering an Audio-Visual Concert featuring the bands Lawns and Hanging Coats as well as two FREE Filmmaking Workshops.

Trenton to Celebrate Nation’s 250th Birthday with “Heritage Week” Events

(TRENTON, NJ) — New Jersey’s capital city is preparing a monumental celebration to mark America’s 250th Birthday, and everyone is invited. “Heritage Week”, running from July 3-8, 2026, will feature a multi-cultural parade beginning 11:30am on July 4th with over 50 marching units, including 4 marching bands and 10 floats, as well as circus performers, antique cars and representations of the many cultures and ethnic groups which make up the Trenton community.
