The New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy temporarily suspended a Woodbury pharmacist’s license and her pharmacy’s operating permit on June 9, citing a “clear and imminent danger to the public health, safety and welfare.”
The board took action against Nittal K. Lodha and Woodbury Family Pharmacy following a June 5 hearing where a committee reviewed evidence of dangerous compounding practices, hundreds of expired drugs, and a pharmacy in “complete disarray and disorganization,” according to the hearing committee’s report. As a result, Lodha’s pharmacy license was revoked, and the pharmacy was ordered to close.
