Park Hae-Il, Park Seo-Jun, & Choi Dae-Hoon are cast in movie “A Firefly.” The film will be directed by Lee Joon-Ik (“The Book of Fish“). Story for “A Firefly” is set in 1974. A detective named Man-Seob (Park Seo-Jun, whose career is shackled by a guilt by association stigma, receives a tip from a mysterious man named Man-Seob (Park Hae-Il) about a case that could help further his career.
Filming for “A Firefly” will begin September 27, 2026.
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: In 1974, when Korea was governed under a ruthless dictatorship, Joon-Kyeong (Park Seo-Jun) works as a detective. His career is blocked by the shackles of a guilt-by-association system. He desperately wants to break free from his shackles. One day, a mysterious man named Man-Seob (Park Hae-Il) tells Joon-Kyeong that there is an incident that could lead to a major career breakthrough for him. He tells Joon-Kyeong to go to Hwayong-township. There, Joon-Kyeong approaches the truth behind an incident that happened to the people there in 1950.
