- I’ve made my Sabres vs Sharks prediction for Tuesday’s late game at SAP Center
- Buffalo enters on a three-game skid, while Macklin Celebrini keeps powering the San Jose attack
- See my Sabres vs Sharks prediction, starting goalies and Tuesday NHL picks below
The Buffalo Sabres (4-4-3) are looking for a spark as they visit the San Jose Sharks (6-5-1) on Tuesday night. Buffalo has dropped three straight, including a 4-3 overtime loss in Washington on Saturday.
San Jose had its two-game win streak snapped with a 6-4 loss to Boston that same night. Even so, Macklin Celebrini continues to drive the bus for the Sharks, piling up 15 points in ten games.
Puck drop is 7:30 PM PT / 10:30 PM ET from SAP Center, with ESPN carrying the late window. Check the latest NHL odds for the full Tuesday slate, then keep reading for my Sabres vs Sharks prediction, starting goalies and Tuesday NHL picks.
Sabres vs Sharks Prediction
- Sabres Moneyline (56¢ on Kalshi)
I’m siding with Buffalo for my Sabres vs Sharks prediction. The three-game skid stings, but the Sabres have only four regulation losses through eleven contests, and Saturday’s defeat in Washington needed overtime to settle.
San Jose has been fun to watch, but the Sharks are giving up goals in bunches. They allowed six to Boston and eleven total across their last three games, which opens the door for a Buffalo attack that needs a bounce-back night.
Jack Quinn leads that charge with six goals, while Owen Power has chipped in seven assists from the blueline. Buffalo has also gone 7-3 in the last ten meetings with San Jose, including a 5-0 win on March 19.
I wouldn’t lean on that history alone. Paired with the Sharks’ recent leaks in their own end, though, I’m happy taking a position on the Sabres at roughly a 56% implied price.
Sabres vs Sharks Starting Goalies
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is projected to start for Buffalo. On the other side, San Jose Hockey Now’s Oct. 26 lineup projection has Alex Nedeljkovic in the Sharks crease, with Yaroslav Askarov as the backup.
Neither club has confirmed its Sabres vs Sharks starting goalies, so check back closer to warmups.
Up front, the projection has Celebrini centering Ivar Stenberg and Will Smith on the top line. San Jose will be without Alexander Wennberg and Igor Chernyshov, who are both week-to-week with upper-body injuries.
Sabres vs Sharks Picks
- Over 6.5 Goals (54¢ on Kalshi)
I’ve got the Over as my second Tuesday NHL pick. San Jose’s last three games produced ten, eight and seven total goals, and Buffalo’s overtime loss in Washington also landed on seven.
Both sides have the finishers to push this past 6.5. Celebrini’s 15 points lead the way for the Sharks, while Quinn’s six goals give the Sabres a trigger man who can punish a shaky defense.
My Sabres vs Sharks Over prediction rests on the recent scoring results and the offensive threats on both sides. Seven goals cashes the contract, and each of San Jose’s last three games reached that mark.
Sabres vs Sharks Odds
Prices as of Oct. 26 via Kalshi.
The Sabres vs Sharks odds on Kalshi have Buffalo at 56¢ to win, which implies about a 56% chance before fees. San Jose sits at 45¢, good for roughly a 45% implied shot.
Buffalo to win by two or more costs 34¢, about a 34% implied chance, so I’ll stick with the straight win contract. The Over at 54¢ translates to around 54%, with the Under at 47¢. Compare prices across prediction market apps before opening a position.
