Adam Driver’s life in Hollywood has awoken a new parenting technique.
The Oscar nominee revealed that he and wife Joanne Tucker are careful with how they’re raising their son and daughter, especially because their kids already “have more growing up” than they had.
“I don’t want to get too caught in the, ‘You don’t realize what you have,’” Driver exclusively shared with E! News in a joint interview with Paper Tiger costar Scarlett Johansson, “because that’s kind of wasted energy. It is what it is—[they] have more privilege than I had.”
While the 42-year-old noted that overall “that’s a good thing,” he also feared it “could also be a trap where things are taken for granted”—especially when he thought about his son.
“I try to make sure that he understands where everything comes from and that he has to work for it to get it,” Driver said, quipping, “and I’m not giving him s–t.”
