First introduced in 1986, the Wallabee Lite took everything people about the original and gave it a more practical twist. Instead of the signature crepe sole, it swapped in a lightweight EVA outsole that made it noticeably easier to wear all day without losing the unmistakable Wallabee silhouette. Then, one day, it just sort of… disappeared. But now, it’s back.
Rather than simply dusting off the old design and calling it a day, Clarks went back into the archives and reworked it for 2026. The biggest update comes underfoot, where a newly engineered high-density EVA sole is designed to be lighter, softer, and more durable than before. There’s also a removable foam footbed for even more comfort, while the premium suede upper and unmistaklable proportions remain exactly as they should. Each pair comes with two lace options too—flat tonal ones and flecked round ones—so you can switch things up depending on the weather, your fragrance, the position of the moon, whatever really.
As for colors, Clarks has launched the Wallabee Lite in easy-to-wear shades like Maple, Grey, and Black, alongside bolder options like Red and Dusty Pink. The latter two are especially tempting, but Grey might just be the slipper hit of the bunch.
